sunrise
every morning on my way to work, through the big wide window panes of the mrt, the sun rises bright orange from afar. i closed my eyes, and for a brief moment, i feel myself in the mountains, catching the spectacular sunrise...
like riding a bicycle, you peddle hard to gain enough speed to enjoy a few seconds of cruising, relax & feel the wind on your face, before you've got to start peddling hard again...
sunset
it's the third evening in a row that i've watched the beautiful sunset from my work station.
for a few minutes or so, all the tiredness and frustrations from the day's work magically dissolved; all that is left is the golden glow and warmth from the setting sun's rays that transforms into a gentle smile across my face...
lovely is the sunset... even more charming it will be, if only it's by the sea or up in the mountains...

Hi, KL. Got your blog from your previous mail...
It isn't that bad for you to work late compared to us. At least you managed to see the sunset, the outside world. For us, we sometimes dun even know that the sun has set after working in our cell office.
Zam Si Tong... there are always period of high workload. It always good to reward yourself with something at the end of a day of hardwork. Like looking at the sunset in your case to drive away the unhappiness. Jia You!
Seem like there is a "mountain" between the "sunrise, sunset and you". Is the mountain in front of you is worth scaling?
What is your choice? Live to Work and Work to Live? ;)

been reading your blog for a few weeks, but took a while to get 'eligible commentor' status.
great to see you putting thoughts into words, and lovely words they are too!
melancholy can be a valuable emotion too, and a learning process. here's wishing you strength and peace coming through.
